Los Cardos wines are produced by Vina Dona Paula, one of the top names in quality South American wine production. The company owns vineyards in two of the most important districts of Mendoza.

The Lujãn de Cuyo vineyards are next to the Andes Mountains at an elevation of 3,200 feet above sea level. Tupungato is among the highest altitude terroirs in Mendoza, rising to 3,400 feet. Both vineyards produce wines of great intensity, but with elegant aromas and flavors.

Los Cardos means "thistles". In the Mendoza province, their presence is the symbol of good terroir. All the Los Cardos wines are estate bottled in Mendoza.

The range includes one white (a Chardonnay) and four reds. From the softest to the most full bodied, these are Merlot, Malbec, Syrah and Cabernet Sauvignon.

The Merlot has been awarded 86 points (Very Good rating) by Wine Spectator

The Malbec is rated 87 points by Wine Spectator
