Santa Rita Wines
Memorable Every Time

The vineyards in Chile that now produce Santa Rita wines were first used for grape growing towards the end of the 18th century.

Viña Santa Rita itself was founded in 1880 by a group of investors, among them Don Domingo Fernández, a distinguished politician. They imported the finest French vine stocks and Viña Santa Rita soon established itself as a high quality wine producing enterprise.

The second owner of the vineyard was Don Vicente Garcia-Huidobro, the son-in-law of the founder, and whose Spanish coat-of-arms is still on the labels of Santa Rita wines in his memory.

In 1980, a group of prestigious entrepreneurs, led by Don Ricardo Claro Valdés, acquired 50% of Viña Santa Rita, buying the remaining 50% eight years later.

Over 200 years ago, a number of historical events related to the independence of Chile took place at the Hacienda which is now home to Santa Rita wines. Bernardo O´Higgins, the general who achieved independence for Chile, and 120 loyal soldiers took shelter here after fighting the Spanish crown forces. Santa Rita´s most famous range of products is called "120" in homage to these patriots.

Future Trade imports two ranges of Santa Rita wines into the Philippines.

The 120 range offers high quality Chilean wines at very affordable prices. It consists of a Sauvignon Blanc, a Carmenere and a Cabernet Sauvignon.

At a slightly higher price point, FTI also markets the Reserva range of wines from Santa Rita. Again consisting of a Sauvignon Blanc, Carmenere and Cabernet Sauvignon, these wines are made from grapes carefully selected from the best areas of the finest vineyards. The wines are then vinified separately and with utmost attention to every possible detail.

FTI also imports two super-premium wines from Santa Rita. Santa Rita Medalla Real is an exceptional Cabernet Sauvignon from the Maipo Valley and Santa Rita Casa Real is an iconic Cabernet Sauvignon
