Talus Cellars, based in the Lodi region of California, is dedicated to quality and value for the consumer. Canandaigua Wine Company acquired Talus in February 2001 as part of its purchase of Turner Road Vintners.
The winemaker, Todd Ziemann, focuses on staying true to the nature of each varietal. "Every bottle is a chance to demonstrate the craft of winemaking," notes Ziemann, "and an opportunity to put a smile on consumers' faces when they taste our wines."
Talus made the pioneering decision in 1998 to switch to the more expensive synthetic cork for all wines. They believe this is the best closure to protect and preserve wine. The better the seal, the more the wine retains its true character. The synthetic cork ensures that Talus consumers get quality wines every time.
This range of fabulous wines includes Pinot Grigio, Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, Merlot, Zinfandel and Cabernet Sauvignon
In the Philippines, the Talus range are very attractively priced at retail, especially when the many awards that the range wins is taken into consideration.
